Category Manager

Overview:

Must have current experience using SAP Ariba

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager to join our team. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and performance of a specific product category. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive sales, optimize product assortment, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties:

- Develop and implement category strategies to achieve business objectives

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape

- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms

- Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance metrics

- Analyze sales data and customer insights to identify product gaps and opportunities

- Develop and execute promotional plans to drive category growth

- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective marketing campaigns

- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with demand planning teams to ensure optimal stock levels

- Work closely with product management teams to develop new products or improve existing ones

- Utilize data mining and data visualization techniques to analyze category performance

- Monitor profit loss statements and financial metrics related to the category

Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred)

- Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar role in a retail or e-commerce environment

- Strong knowledge of category management principles and practices

- Experience in supplier management and contract negotiation

- Proficient in demand planning techniques and tools

- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze profit loss statements

- Strong data mining and analysis skills

- Ability to effectively communicate and sell ideas to cross-functional teams

- Solid understanding of product management principles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
